Systems Engineer

At H2L Robotics we're looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team.

Full-time · Delft

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary (depending on knowledge, skills & experience).

  • 25 vacation days per year (based on a full-time contract) with the option to purchase additional days.

  • A key role in the technical development and optimization of two advanced agricultural robots.

  • The opportunity to work on both a successful existing product and a promising new innovation.

  • High impact, freedom, and growth opportunities in an innovative scale-up.

You:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in developing complex systems such as autonomous robots or sensor technology and possess a solid understanding of technical concepts.

  • Have an academic working and thinking level (WO), analyze, improve, and optimize system architecture, and seamlessly switch between software, electronics, and mechanics.

  • Systematically design complex technical systems, from concept to implementation.

  • Communicate effectively and collaborate well with engineers, product developers, and service teams.

  • Have a strong sense of responsibility for milestones and customer commitments.

  • Combine analytical thinking with a hands-on approach.

What you will do:
As a Systems Engineer, you will support the technical performance and continuous development of both our tulip and potato robots. Our tulip robot is a proven product, already widely used by customers. You will contribute to continuous technology improvements, more efficient maintenance, and rapid resolution of technical challenges. Depending on the situation, you will balance between pragmatic solutions and structural improvements. Our potato robot is a new and promising project still in the development phase.

You will play a crucial supporting role in designing, testing, and integrating new technologies to prepare this product for market launch. You will also contribute to setting up successful field demonstrations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and optimizing the system architecture of the tulip robot and support the system design of the potato robot—from requirements to verification and field demonstrations.

  • Support production and service teams with technical challenges, optimizations, and structural improvements to resolve complex system issues.

  • Develop and execute test plans, conduct measurements and data analysis, including the use of diagnostic tools and visual reporting of results.

  • Contribute to the iterative development and testing of new functionalities for the potato robot, with a strong focus on reliability and performance.

  • Collaborate with software, electronics, and mechanical engineers to ensure a seamlessly integrated and high-performing product.

With your expertise, you will ensure that our tulip robot continues to innovate technically while our potato robot successfully enters the agricultural market.
